Thank you for publishing Tony Dolz’s letter (Acorn, June 14) on “The Kite Runner.”

As a former employee at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York, I know how important it is to stop the corruption and manipulation of children by those who would destroy the child’s innocence.

Tony’s letter should be one of many. Thank you for publishing it.

Our schoolchildren’s “recommended books” list includes a book depicting child rape by a pedophile, and a graphic scene of penetration.

The book controversial book was deemed of important educational value by the Conejo Valley Unified School Board, with a single opposing member.  Where to draw the line?  What about video of Jews burning in Nazi ovens, or decapitations, or torture?

He will improve our public schools, which will not only be beneficial to our children but help the local economy and real estate prices.
