“Bush Says Deportation 'Ain't Gonna Work'” – But Who Is Talking Mass Deportation Besides You, Mr. President?

The penalty for violating our borders is deportation; anything else is amnesty. So what are we to believe when President Bush repeats ad nauseam that he seeks a middle ground. Where lays the middle ground between enforcing the immigration laws and not enforcing them?

In skewed thinking that ordinary Americans have difficulty understanding, Senator Ted Kennedy, Democrat and Senator John McCain, Republican are promoting strict enforcement of immigration law for those who have broken our laws the shortest period of time, 2 years or less; and a slap on the wrist and a clear path to citizenship for those who have being breaking our laws for 5 years or longer.

Just imagine, a company has an employee embezzling money for two years or less. You fire that employee and turn him/her over to the police. Then you discover that another employee has been embezzling for 5 year. You allow the embezzler to stay and give him/her a senior-employee gold watch.

Indicative of the perverse reasoning of the Senators behind the Senate “permanent” Temporary Guest Worker program and Amnesty bill SB 2611, the illegal alien employers that have been breaking the law get a full pass, no matter for how long they have defied the law. The Senate bill contains full and unconditional amnesty for the scofflaw employers!

An investigative report from CNN released the first week of June, uncovers that the Senate bill is expected to increase our population by 60 to a 100 million over the next few years, cost $92 billion over the next decade and be virtually unenforceable. The report is available at my website www.dolz.com.

The humorous part of President Bush pessimism concerning the do-ability of deporting 12 to 20 million illegal aliens is that we first have to believe that he would reverse himself and enforce the law. Look at the evidence. We are on the 6th years of his unofficial Guest Worker Program – you know it by its other name, the “Open and Unprotected Borders Program”. No stone seems to have been left unturned on our war against terror, so long as it doesn't interfere with our “Open and Unprotected Borders Program”. In this regard, the President is putting us at risk should terrorists take advantage of our unprotected borders.

The Open and Unprotected Borders Program is coming to a halt thanks to citizen volunteers, like the Minuteman, who have put their lives at risk at the border, to bring our elected representatives dereliction of duty into sharp focus on an election year.

The threat of a grass-roots revolt putting a halt to the self-importation of millions of cheap desperate illegal alien workers through our broken borders has the scofflaw employers in a panic. That panic, is the cause behind the Senate's desperate and shameful “permanent” temporary Guest Worker program and amnesty - Senate Bill SB 2611. SB 2611 is now on its way to the Conference Committee where there will be an attempt to reconcile it with the “border security first” House Bill HR 4437. Finding a compromise in Congress is highly unlikely to happen before the November election because the overwhelming majority of the House is dead-set against the Senate amnesty bill.

Bush defines amnesty as allowing those illegal aliens to automatically become citizens. He said instead they first should be required to prove that they have been working and abiding the law, pay a fine, learn English and wait behind those who have been in the country legally.

Apparently the president does not consider violating our border, stealing or using a false Social Security number (identity theft), not filing tax returns, driving without driver's license and insurance and unlawfully applying for and receiving tax-paid social services among other things, as illegal activity. If so then not a single illegal alien would qualify for the plan by his own definition.

The President's plan is unfair to legal immigrants. On the application form for a green card it asks, “Have you ever enter the country illegally or overstayed your visa?”. If the answer is yes, you are disqualified. Under the President's plan that is not a disqualifier, that is what gets you into the plan. Can he imagine that this will play well with law-abiding legal immigrants?

Should we deport all those who are here illegally? Yes, of course. Mr. President, enforce the existing laws! Fine and imprison scofflaw employers, deny tax-paid services to all those who are here illegally, do not allow foreign remittances without a valid passport and visa, make it mandatory that all federal employees submit to an immigration status check, build a border fence where feasible, reimburse the states for the cost of massive illegal immigration, send 36,000 troops to the border as recommended by Georgia Congressman Charley Norwood, deny federal funds to any state that refuses to cooperate with the federal government in enforcing immigration laws, and automatically deport those aliens who fall into the hands of the judicial system, for a start. If you do those things, the illegal aliens will leave the same way they came, on their own and at their own expense. No massive deportation is required.

To learn who are the Senators and Congressmen who have betrayed the American people, the American worker, Black Americans and law-abiding legal immigrants, visit the web pages of the Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR) at www.fairus.org and NumbersUSA at www.numbersusa.com . There you will learn who deserves your vote in the November election and who should be punished for their dereliction of duty.

My name is Tony Dolz. I am one of the founding members of the Minuteman and a candidate for the California 41 st Assembly District. On June 6 th I won the primary election with 76% of the vote. I face an opponent who has been endorsed by open borders pro-illegal alien weasel elected officials, among them racist and seditious Mexican “reconquista” California elected officials. If you agree with me that our country is in danger in the hands of some of our current elected officials, I welcome your support.
